Zoom in on the stretch to fix, press Edit track edges, then click five points along one edge of the tarmac (road or chicane), in order. Drag the points: a smooth curve joins them, and end points can be moved too. The GPS line itself never moves.
Hold the screen like a steering wheel, sideways (landscape). If you'd rather hold it upright, choose Portrait in Tilt setup.
Gears change automatically. Press TILT (top right) any time for Tilt setup: zero angle, Landscape/Portrait, sensitivity, and buttons or tilt for the pedals.
Hold the screen level, the way you want to drive, then press Set zero. That position means straight ahead with no throttle or brake.
Enter 1–10 drivers in running order. Each name comes up on screen before their run; after they finish the next driver is called.
Start the day, then each driver types their name on the start card before their run (and chooses the car). Every run goes on the day's results sheet with its time, split times and speeds. The watch screen shows the day standings live. End the day to save the results for good; you can print them at any time.
★ = still on the sim's built-in body (no photo-realistic model yet)
Keeps how this car's 3D model is fitted (turn, mirror, paint, numbers, windows, cabin, eye position), its driver and panel positions and its tyre setting in the models folder, so they come back even if the browser forgets them.
Copies every 3D model you loaded in the sim into RobRoySim/models (named after each car), so they are kept even if the browser's storage is cleared.
Can't see through a window? Click Pick windows…, then click each window on the car to make it see-through (click again to undo).
How the body moves on its springs: Sport sits flatter with firmer, better-damped springs (like the Seal in Sport mode). Moving a slider switches to Custom.
Clutch pedal right now: not mapped. It should read 0% with your foot off and 100% pressed to the floor.
Open: the inside driven wheel spins away when you power out of a tight corner. LSD: both wheels keep driving, so you can put the power down earlier, with a touch more push on the way in. Locked: all the traction, but the car resists turning.
Right paddle or E changes up, left paddle or Q changes down. With the clutch option on, the gear only goes in with the clutch down, and you can stall pulling away. With it off, the paddles change gear on their own, but the clutch pedal (if mapped) still works: hold it down to rev for a fast start or to coast with the engine disconnected.
Your own preferences (steering feel, wheel, pedals, regen, sound, seat and view), named so you can switch between them. These apply to whichever car you drive. To keep a particular car's set-up, use Save as this car's default under 3D model.
Wind and road noise rise with speed; the tyres start to squeal at about 85% of their grip, so you hear the limit coming.
Cones across the road show which way to go. Changing course reloads the track.
The sun sits where it really would at Rob Roy for that time and month, so the cars' shadows fall the right way. The default is 11 am in October.
In the driver's view, drag the gauge to move it (hold Shift to move it nearer or further), scroll on it to resize, double-click to reset. Drag the speedo, map and dashcam panels anywhere on the screen; double-click one to put it back. Each car remembers its own layout.
Others can watch live on a phone, tablet or computer on the same Wi-Fi: open this address in its browser:
Save camera spots around the course here (drive or roll to the place, swing the chase camera to the angle you want, then press Save); spectators can pick them or let the Auto director cut between them.
Arcade mode: drivers choose the car on the start pad (paddles or E/Q), then lock it in with the accelerator (or Enter). After that the paddles or E/Q change gear (automatic until they do). Restart takes them back to the pad to choose again. The view (camera button) and restart still work. To leave it, hold the wheel's camera button for 3 seconds (or press Esc) and enter the password.
For a steering wheel that feels loose or twitchy round the middle. Dead zone ignores the first bit of turn either side of centre (takes up the play). Softness makes small movements near the centre steer less, while full lock stays the same. Smoothing filters out jitter from the wheel's sensor.
100% is the full 390 kW Seal AWD Performance (0–100 in about 3.8 s). Throttle response sets how quickly power builds when you press the accelerator.
How much grip the tyres keep when they run off onto the grass, compared with the tarmac. Dry mown grass is about 0.6–0.7; wet grass much less.
Below this pedal position the car regens, stronger the further you lift. Above it, the pedal drives. On a keyboard, lifting off gives full regen at the strength set.

GPS runs show the real line you drove (±1–2 m GPS accuracy). Video-only runs have speed but no line, so each is drawn in its own lane. Pick any run as the ghost — its real dashcam video plays in step with it (press V for the panel).
